One must view this SUICIDAL move as an indication that Guy Philippe is stating a Truth that is upsetting to the team around Prime Minister Henry. Otherwise, Guy would be left to talk to the Haitian population.
I have reviewed Guy Philippe’s various speeches and , not once has he said he wants the power for himself. He is pressing for creation of a new – non-politically obligated cabinet – that will take immediate steps to address the Nation’s problems. To date, Madame Manigat has bumbled along, making non-specific statements, as Prime Minister Henry promises action – then provides no action.
This game has been going on since President Moise was assassinated.
The continued chaos facilitates many who surround PM Henry, in the Primature. Since they continue to reap personal benefits from this. Some, within the Primature, distribute funds to gangs, with these distributions dealing with agendas that are not the public’s agenda.
Finance Minister Boisvert could shed some light on these transactions since has has personally signed off on them.
I really hope that Prime Minister Henry can lead the Nation to better times, by creating a real Cabinet, not a make-believe one created to pay off certain political personalities.
It is time for the Henry/Manigat Duo to produce something other than smoke and mirrors.
It is crime for a real Cabinet, made up of real people, to solve the nation’s many challenges Henry/Manigat have an opportunity to set a good, positive Legacy in stone.
