Haiti Enjoys Fun In The Son

A few days ago, some of gospel music’s most renowned singers hit the stage at Fun In The Son Haiti and ministered to thousands of Haitians.

Among them was gospel artiste/minister, Carlene Davis and her band. They performed at the Sun Auto-Football Field in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, for the first Haiti Broilers and Glory Music Fun In The Son.

Ministering the word was Andrew Palau, son of famous evangelist Luis Palau, while the musical programme included the United States’ Tye Tribette, and Tibob and Alabanza from Haiti. In addition, there was a showcasing of extreme sports so sports lovers in attendance could feast their eyes on some of the latest sports tricks.

Dr Carlene Davis who is known for her singles, Threshing Floor, This Island Needs Jesus, We Give You All The Glory, Rock Me Jesus, has been a favourite among Haitians for years.

“I felt truly blessed to go to Haiti to share the word of the Lord. Before I went, I was told that many of the songs I have done are favourites, and after going I just feel so blessed to have been able to go and minister to the persons living there. God is moving,” Dr Davis said, in response to her popularity in Haiti.

The Best Dressed Fun In The Son is an annual gospel concert which has attracted some of the most celebrated gospel musical ministers. This year, the 10th staging of the Best Dressed Fun in the Son Gospel concert will be held in Jamaica on July 14, at the National Heroes Park, National Heroes Circle.
