Haiti is too quick to forget past outrages!
We must remember that it was Evens Paul who, as Mayor of Port-au-Prince, put the mob on the streets at 11 A.M. election day, 1990 as the French ambassador announced Aristide’s victory, many hours before the polling stations were scheduled to close.
Pity the person who questioned this announcement!
They would meet Pere Lebrun.
Aristide was , in effect, declared winner with fewer than 1.6% of the vote counted, according to a Montreal group retained by Aristide to do a survey: When Aristide saw this, he immediately suppressed the document.
On the Monday, following the election, Jimmy Carter and Robert McNamara hosted a meeting at the El Rancho where they suggested Aristide – being so young – should step aside and allow Marc Bazin to take the Presidency.
Aristide would have his chance later.
Evens Paul put the mob on the street and moved to burn Port-au-Prince and threatened to kill Carter/McNamara.
Carter and McNamara fled the country in a panic.
Paul continued his terror, receiving a large cash payment for this crime. Many died and many buildings were torched.
We do not claim that Aristide did not win the popular vote. We are just saying the vote was never counted.
Evens Paul was paid a small fortune for his violent support of Aristide, a man he now opposes, reflecting the true heart of a parasite: Controlled by dollars, pesos, rubles, yen, or gourdes.
Evens Paul is also directly responsible for the murder of some 250 supporters of Doctor Roger Lafontant. Even at this late date, one family member could bring Evens Paul to court for the murders.
And Nancy Roc is another special whore who dances to different drummers, depending upon the way a wind blows.
She vicious writing supported Aristide’s murderous government even as people were “necklaced” – kidnapped, murdered. She supported Aristide as h stole millions that would have been better spent on rice-and-beans for hungry children.
When she was finally kicked away from the trough, and Aristide went into exile, she changed horses, yet again.
A few dollars from Martelly/Lamothe and this pair, plus anyone else, will soon turn silent.
The Miami expenditures on Gouvènman Lakay Ou generated millions in good public relations, inside and outside the Haitian community.
Had this pair attacked the proposed carnival this month, we would agree with them.
