Corruption is Deadly billboard in Africa

BERLIN, Germany (defend.ht) – In the 2012, Corruption Perceptions Index by Transparency International, Haiti did not make any gains in the fight against corruption since the 2011 report and, in fact, lost ground.

The percentage of Haitians perceiving their government to be corrupt rose 1 percent from 18 in 2011, to 19 in 2012.

Haiti still ranks 8 slots from the bottom, at 165 but nations like Venezuela, Burundi and Chad, are now sharing this space with Haiti.

In the western hemisphere, Haiti and Venezuela stand a part from other nations in being towards the bottom. This perception will most likely bear down on the Haitian government’s efforts to seek investment. Venezuela has nationalized industries and will not face that problem.

Honduras, Guyana and Nicaragua are in the 130s and Dominican Republic at 118.

  1. Live in Hope
    Die in Despair.

The Japanese would never have here.

  2. Japan is baby U.S. they can’t help but be a puppet, I doubt their help to we (Haitians). They are highly developed, but that comes with a price. We need real help from countries that are not puppets or exploiters. However, are biggest exploiter has been our own government. They govern us straight into poverty, rape, diseases, and environmental degradation. Corruption will grow in Haiti as long as ex prisoners, U.S deportees, gang leaders, drug dealers, kidnappers, thieves, murderers, rapist and extortioners are what makes up our Parliament. THAT WAS THE CAKE; HERE COMES THE ICING. Our executive branch has been a joke for the last 20 plus years. The judicial branches is Oh wait…. What judicial branch?
