Just when you think the Zombi is dead, it pops up from its burial place and moves implacably forward, destroying all in its path.
So it is with Edmund Supplice Bauzile, one of the dozens of presidential candidates, totally ignored by voters, in the last election. She represented FUSION which has never managed to get above 2% in the past. Bauzile herself accumulated a staggering 0.64% of the total vote. She also faced an internal conflict when other FUSION candidates claimed she grabbed all of the available election funds for herself, leaving nothing for the others.
Some unkind people have suggested she didn’t spend the cash on the electoral process. But then, she would be no different from many other low percent tage candidates who run for election simply to gain the mandated government funding for candidates.

I am an Economist and one of the basic “Laws of Economics” is the MAXIMIZE PROFITS – MINIMIZE LOSS concept. The Ministry of Education has created many millionaires and my suggestion, at this point of time, before the game begins again, is to give Edmund Bauzile $1,000,000 and tell her to go away. Then let Leslie Borlette select a Minister of Education by lottery. The selection would probably be better than whatever present negotiations will generate, based upon personal agendas, and greed..
Our childrens’ education is the most important thing this nation has. One should remember the comment by Confucius:
If you want to plan for a year – plant rice.
If your plan is for 10 years – plant trees.
If your plan is for 100 years – Educate Children!
At the moment, our long-term simply extends to Next Wednesday. We have to import rice, cut our trees and destroy the educational foundation for our children’s future, the Nation’s future.
Until something drastic happens, within the Haitian political world, the Nation is doomed to complete and total failure.
President Jovenel Moise is doing his best to create a better future, but his situation is that of a man trying to run a 100 yard dash through a sea of glue. The Chamber of Deputies, Senate, and International Community spread glue along his path, making the journey an impossible one.
At this point of time Bodeau, and his band of criminals in our Chamber of Deputies, is arguing that President Moise should hold discussions with them before presenting a Prime Minister for approval.
More delay.
Perhaps a request from Bodeau for a few millions, to do the work voters selected him for!
President Jovenel Moise is wearing out, under foolish, unnecessary pressures. The last of these was Prime Minister Ceant, a choice President Moise never wanted and whose 6 month term, before being fired, effectively destroyed all that had been accomplished before his appointment.
