PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht/Le Matin) – Accusations have been made that a large shipment of cocaine was collected in Anse-d’Hainault during the weekend of March 18 by Ralph Theano, Minister in Charge of Relations with Parliament, and Senator Michel Clérié (Grande Anse/Alternative).

These claims were made by Deputy Sorel Jacinthe (Moron/Inite), the former President of the Chamber of Deputies, Deputy Arnel Belizaire (Delmas/Independent) and Guy Philippe, former police commissioner and coup rebel.

According to Le Matin, the accusers made the statements on the radio waves of Caraibe on March 31, 2012. Both parliamentarians and Guy Philippe who support these charges, recalled that Ralph Theano and Michel Clérié were heavily armed during this operation.

This large shipment of cocaine headed to Martelly and friends would be the basis for the revocation of the head of the security of the President, the former commander of CIMO, Carel Alexandre. Some information from various sources have also highlighted an issue of color associated with the issue of drugs.

Arnel Belizaire and Guy Philippe noted that mulattoes have a monopoly on drug trafficking and would not hesitate to eliminate any potential adversary as it did for Carel Alexandre.

According to information revealed by the former police commissioner Guy Philippe, the cocaine shipment was poorly distributed. This would be the basis of a conflict between supporters of Carel Alexandre also known as Gros Soso.

Moreover, the Minister Ralph Theano and Senator Michel Clérié, very involved in this case, according to statements by Guy Philippe, Arnel Belizaire and Saurel Jacinthe, have rejected out of hand the allegations.

According to Senator Clérié, this is false information that aim to tarnish his image as a Senator of the Republic. He accused the MP Jacinthe, he says, of trying to discredit him.

Minister Ralph Theano, for his part, vigorously denounced what he called a campaign to destabilize the government in power. He does not understand why so many people conspire against the government and therefore against the country. He is convinced that these people are merely defending their own interests at the expense of the healthy image of the country. They are, he adds, men who do not want change.

Indeed, opinions vary on how to deal with political issues in the country today. For some analysts, the Haitian issue is complex because the new political administration of the country does not know how to handle crises. They argue that no one can say whether this drug case is true or false. Another matter which will settle in the shade.
