Haiti - Social : The rectorate of UEH denies and calls for decency and moderation

Following the incidents of 12 June at the Faculty of Ethnology, where a student was overthrown by a vehicle driven by Dean Yves Blot, the Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH), is urgently calling for decency and restraint around the state of health of the victim John Rock Gourgueder Jean, a former student of UEH who has undergone various fractures and is currently hospitalized. Let’s recall that the Rectorate set up a Commission of Inquiry charged to shed light on this unfortunate incident.
“[…] The Rectorate of the UEH, which has assumed the medical expenses related to the hospitalization of Mr Jean, has obtained information from reliable and authorized sources according to which the patient is in a stable state and out of danger, while a sector makes rumors about the degradation of his health ranging up to the point of evoking the eventuality of his death.

Such untruths are such as to manipulate public opinion, to alarm the parents and the relatives of the patient, can not contribute to his complete recovery that the Rectorate appeal of all its wishes.

The Rectorate therefore calls for decency and moderation and invites all actors to a dignified and humane approach to this issue.”

Rectorate claims innocence for this??
