Well, it would seem as though the gloss is off and Martelly has not even been sworn in as President.
Immediately after Martelly’s meeting with Bill Clinton he cut many people out of his immediate circle. Many who were received on a daily basis have been dropped and cannot even contact Martelly.
A lot of money is involved and some people who are close to the situation, suggest that Clinton, having already made a deal with the Devil, brought Martelly into the fold.
The fact that Gervais Charles will not be considered for the Prime Minister or Justice slots sends a message. Gervais has the respect of the international, and local community, as being one of the honest people in Haiti. He is going to be named Legal Counselor to the President, a non-job for someone as close as this man is to Martelly. Some suggest Gervais’ straight shooting doesn’t fit in with the people swarming around Martelly, at this moment.
And then, I have just watched a TV meeting between Preval and Martelly in which it was made clear that Preval owns parliament and, effectively owns the government.
This was emphasized by the fact that Martelly says there was really no corruption under Preval. It was all rumor. There was a little bit….but…..
What about the $198,000,000 in Petro Caraibe Funds that is unaccounted for? Martelly made a campaign challenge about this and I know, from Preval insiders, that Preval was panic-stricken at the thought of any investigation into this one.
What about the deal that was carried out after Robert Marcello’s murder, from what Amaral Duclona says…was carried out on Preval’s direct order? Duclona’s testimony is on record.
What about the $38,000,000 from the $20.00 emergency packs, purchased in the DR after the time expired dates were changed after buying them for $2.00 each??
And the list goes on.
Unless Martelly addresses the problem of corruption, and carries out a real forensic audit of the Nation’s affairs, under Preval, there will be no future.
The international community will distrust him, as it distrusted Aristide and Preval.

Looks like Haiti’s peasant majority, that put Martelly in office, had better bend over and touch their toes. They are about to get screwed again.

How sad, I had hoped the cycle of criminality could be broken but I suppose this is a naive hope.
Perhaps this is why Preval brought in Rawandan Police- So Fartsmelly can train his new enforcers
Well it could also be a ruse…Martelly is waiting for the official results to start showing his true colors…I still think that once in a while Sweet Micky will come out pou’l di moun kaka…
I have faith that what what ever Martelly is accepting todaymhas some good reasons. He is not a fool, even when everyone wants to believe that he is , Martelly is not Aristid who would come out like a lion and end up dead like a street dog.with no one supporting him lately except a lady. Yes we know that money is the first thing always for all politicians but lets wait.the people of Haiti love Martely if he fools them,they will know how to deal with that.
One is overwhelmed by contact with the great Bill Clinton and the promise of many things.
Preval controls parliament and therefore controls the governement.
Preval should have been stopped a year ago but we have no control over destiny.
Perhaps, another wasted term.
Unless there is a rejection of impunity, no one will trust us.
I think this news station is over reacted about Martelly and Preval meeting,don,t be fool by what ever you have seen a few days ago,wait until the official anouncement by the CEP and the days after the sworning day May 14.Then haitiens people will see the reality.
