With the assistance of her buddy, (from USAID days in the eighties), Ambassador Pamela White has assisted Queen Sophia in her further quest for power.
Even Al Capone fell victim to the IRS when he was jailed. It was the tax people that finished Capone, and should have nailed Queen Sophia. Under American law, each and every citizen must declare their global income. Had Queen Sophia done this, she would have had to declare all of the income she has skimmed, over the past few years. From being broke, before the election, to unbelievably rich, after her term in office, should have received more than a cursory glance from the American government.
Some interested Haitian citizen could start a “Class Action” lawsuit against Queen Sophia in America’s Federal Court system, demanding justice for Haiti’s people.
Justice for the Nation.
How about Olivier Martelly. If he was born in the States, someone can also haul him into court to explain his sudden wealth….how he went from a broke guy just past 20 years of age, to a multi-millionaire in a couple of years.
Queen Sophia would now like to run for the Senate. She does not have the residency requirements demanded by the Constitution.
Needs 3 and only has one.
But this is Haiti, where the impossible is possible.
And of course, there are rumors of more than a Platonic friendship between President Martelly and Ambassador White.
For those, with a limited vocabulary, this means some people suspect than Martelly as been “porking” the ambassador.
A different way to “screw America” I suppose.
