POLITICAL PARTIES MEET TO DISCUSS OUSTING OF CEP CHIEF OPONT

September 1, 2015

Representatives of many Haitian political parties met today in an effort to form some sort of consensus as to what should be done. Everyone agrees the August 9 election was a criminal farce, aimed at giving Martelly and Preval control of Haiti’s Parliament.

Nothing was resolved, but everyone wants Opont’s resignation. Some want him arrested, while Reynald Georges suggests Opont turn himself in, to the closest police station, and save the trouble involved in an actual arrest.

The Martelly/Preval duo counted on the Haitian peasant’s total disinterest in, and distrust of politics, politicians and elections.

The only election that means anything to them is the Presidential elections.
They do not understand the dynamics of the Blan’s Game in which Parliament can dictate to the President.

Haitian peasants would rather have a benevolent dictator in place of the present criminally incompetent parliamentary system.

They were better off under Duvalier.

Now, they are told about the value of free-and-fair elections but almost to a man, and woman, those polled wonder how you can have such a thing when the most popular person, in Haiti, has been illegally barred.

Without Laurent Lamothe, on the ballot, there can be no meaningful election.

The Haitian people will be cheated again.

And the International will pay the bill.

  1. Two thing came out of meeting.

    Opont must go, and,

    A commission to study problem.

    Waste of time!!!!

MUST ATTACK INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY. THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES. FAILING TO DO THIS WILL SEE PROBLEM FIZZLE INTO ANOTHER UNCORRECTED DISASTER.

  2. 11:11 AM September 3 and a HUGE crowd has marched through streets of Port-au-Prince to congregate in front of Petion-Ville’s CEP headquarters.

This mob is very loudly demanding the resignation of CEP Chief Opont, and the members of the CEP. They want the August 9 election results annulled.

The crowd is chanting about the drug dealers who control and reside in the National Palace.

Another march is planned for tomorrow and it will be mich BIGGER.
