PORT-AU-PRINCE’S FIRST CATHEDRAL RECEIVED $300,000.00 UN GRANT FOR RESTORATION IN 1990 ARISTIDE BURNED CHURCH AND KEPT THE MONEY
The cathedral was burned by Aristide because of a $300,000 grant from the United Nations for a restoration project. Aristide burned the church and kept the money
