Martelly Pledges to revival of the Forces Armees d’Haiti on May 14th

Martelly Pledges to revival of the Forces Armees d’Haiti on May 14th, his inauguration day.

Aristide feared the FAdH as a countervailing force against his thrust for a dictatorship. Aristide, with the assistance of American General Jack Sheehan illegally dismantled the force, even as Washington was implementing a White Paper, written by Lynn Garrison, a civilian adviser to General Cedras, and Colonol Pat Collins, from the American Embassy, during June 1992.

This plan would have seen FAdH become an “army of the people”, building schools, roads, dams, hospitals, while operating mobile medical/dental clinics. It was to be equipped with aircraft and boats to interdict cocaine smugglers.

Now, almost 19 years later, the original concept will be used to create a revived and vigorous team.

David Bazile has been suggested as Martelly’s choice to head the revival. Bazile was a major when Aristide illegally dismantled the Military. It is still a Constitutional part of the Nation’s framework.

The vast majority of Haitians welcome the return of their military.

  1. I am listing right to matin caraibe and I can tell those reporters have so much negative opinions a out the return of the Haitian army. Well there are someositive ideas too. Such as at the moment we need money to rebuild not to buy weapons.however, we r spending hunfreds of millions in MINUSTAH .the question remained is? what do those big mouth journalists want the new government to do? Why don t they bring their idea to the goverment in stead of criticizing anything miki try to do? Peyi sa mown pa kon kinsa pou fe anko.tout sa you lot vle fe pou byen toujoungen you ban dyol allele kap pale met la. Reel yo manned yo poet die pa yo, yo pa jam japan fe ayen sin on pale ampil.dungeon pou wenvagabon radwyo caraibe yo pa mem kon kembe you mato.

  2. It is not about numbers of units, infantry or volume of aircraft.cause as miki said we are not going. To war with DR. Or other country, but we need technicians to help in day of disasters. We need the army, but a modern army. No more soldier who have no idea how to understand a simple note a morsecode. What we had was a mess before it was not an army.trust me even in the Dominican republic, most of their soldiers do not know how to read and many of them are Haitians children left in the street that they have train to become killer of those who ambodone rheum when they were child. They are brainwashed and ready for revenge. We do not need this kind of armyhaiti need a real army.yes we desperately need this army.I wish Miki could obtain green light from the UK to train them. Make them as good as an English soldier then you would see that it is not about numbers.

  3. Is it yet another rumor or a well documented fact that can be substantiated by an official, though unpublised as of yet, document?

  4. Pou kisa nou bezwen yon Lame Ayisyem?

    Nou bezwen yon Lame.
Paske, nou genyen travay ki disponib pou jenn gason ak jenn fi nan tout domen, tankou:

    Lagrikilti
    Rebwazman
    monte pepinye
fe mi sek pou pwoteje late kont ewozyon
fe lak atifisyel pou bare dlo ak pou fasilite awozaj late
fe gwo basen pou kenbe dlo ravin k ap debode
fe wout atrave tout peyi a
    fe fore tout kote
monte chop teknik nan tout domen
enplante anpil lekol politeknik pou aprann moun metye
    mete kanpe mouvman lapech
mete anpil lekol ak aktivite sante

Pou tout rezon sa yo, pliske nou pa genyen anpil lajan, se atrave Lame Ayisyen an ke nou pral mete kanpe a ke nou pral fasilite jenn gason ak jenn fi pou yo founi sevis milite obligatwaman, epi apresa, Leta ap anmezi pou li finanse edikasyon yo tout.
Ponpye, paramedikal, teknisyen agrikol, mekanik, elektrik, e latriye, se jan de aktivite sa yo ki pral pwomote anndan Lame Ayisyen an.Na domen sekirite, se menm jenn gason ak jenn fi sa yo tou ki pral travay kotakot avek popilasyon an pou rive kontwole sekirite a tou.

Lide monte yon Lame nan peyi a se meye fason pou responsabilize tout moun. Nou pap monte yon Lame kraze zo, nou pap monte yon lame restavek, men, nou pral monte yon lame responsabab, yon lame patriyotik, yon lame pwofesyonel.
Sevis sivik, alfabetizasyon fonksyonel pral fet gras ak lame sa a.

Jenn gason ak jenn fi yo pral aprann tout metye ki va ede yo pou lavi yo.Anpil moun pa gen travay tou senpleman paske nou pa idantifye bezwen ak solisyon yo nan sosyete a. Tout moun pa kapab we tout gabay negativman tout tan.

Travay la anpil, lajan pa tout solisyon an. Men avek entelijans, volonte, dezi pou nou chanje mod fonksyonman sosyete nou posib.

Ann nou pa pedi tan nan we ke tout bagay enposib akoz gwo mas lajan.

  5. I would not expect Michel Martelly to lie about such an easily checked fact.

He went on local radio to say that he had the green light from the Americans, who were going to supply aircraft and boats for use by the military unit in drug interdiction, and other roles.

He also said that, as of May 14, 2011, he wanted the Forces Armees d’Haiti men to put their uniforms on, and be recognized.

Martelly has a number of ex-FAdH people in his circle. One of these, Colonel Joseph Baguidy, could head a committee to oversee the revival of the constitutionally mandated force, covered by Article 263 of Haiti’s 1987 Constitution.

  6. Like it or not, the FAdH is popular with the majority of Haitians.
It was unpopular with those who want to violate the law and welcome removal of controls.
Martelly and the FAdH will work to give nation security that disappeared 25 years ago.
