A massive fire is sweeping the huge market area extending from where the old city hall stood, along the waterfront towards La Saline. Fire engines from as far away as Jacmel have come to help Port-au-Prince equipment. Unfortunately, a shortage of water is complicating efforts to control the blaze.
It is bizarre fact of Haitian life that Lavalas agitators are forever targeting the local markets with fires. This insane action targets the very people they are attempting to lead.
It would be an unfortunate coincidence if suspicions prove to be true. Namely, Administrator Nickel, from the Ministry of the Interior, funding the crime with the cash that disappeared this last week. His good friend and boss, Interior Minister St. Cyr is set upon creating chaos for the Lamothe government and this is just another step in the process.
The Interior Minister does not have immunity, nor does the Ministry Administrator Nickel. An arrest warrant for Nickel should be issued along with a Departure Interdiction Notice, coupled with a request, to the American and Canadian embassy, to cancel any visas the suspects might have.
Time to neutralize Aristide and Preval, once and for all.
