Guy Philippe has become the polarizing force in Haiti, a nation without leadership since President Jovenel Moise’ assassination a year ago. The international community understands nothing, bleeding PNH officers away, to the States, under the Biden Amnesty, and trying to stabilize things with foreign mercenaries from abroad.
Foreign elements never really become aware of the Haitian reality. In actual fact, all but a few have the luxury of sufficient time to understand this unique society. Like a child’s flat stone, skipped across the surface of a pond, present on site, but rarely penetrating the depth, there is no solution satisfying the Nation’s needs.
Such is the locally unpopular Kenyan arrangement, absorbing hundreds of millions, that would be better invested in Haiti’s infrastructure and a real overhaul of our PNH, a segment that has lost over 3,000 officers to the Biden Amnesty.
But, that is a discussion for some other time.
Now, right now, immediately the Nation is sliding towards January 1, 2024 and a total lock-down as the ignored Haitian Majority seeks a say in its survival.
