Are you serious? When the day arrives that Guy Philippe is seen as a savior for Haiti, Haiti is finished. Surely Haiti can do better than someone with such a disturbing past-“Whatever I have done in the past, I would do in the future”. Al-Jazeera Interview with Guy Phillip in 2010.
Shiela.
“Whatever I have done in the past, I would do in the future.”
Even I would say that, personally. What Guy is saying simply reflects that he has acted in parallel with his conscience and patriotism.
One cannot listen to, and believe many negative things that are said about people, in the Haitian scene. To do so would see Aristide as a Saint, and Mother Teresa as a Devil.
Guy Philippe, and a few dozen others, provided the impetus that removed Aristide from his dictatorship. Look at the new article by WHITMAN – an American Embasy spokesman, during the Aristide period.
I suppose you might say he is not to be accepted either.
My money is on Guy Philippe.
Guy Philippe was abandoned by those he helped.
Any Apaid was in daily contact with Guy Philippe, and Jodel Chamblain, until he was sure Aristide was finished.
Then, not another call.
Apaid is the criminal.
Guy and Jodel were the patriots.
Good people finish last.
