There is a rumor that Senator Jean William Jeanty and at least one other member of the Haitian Parliament have been flown to Washington for meetings with members of the US Senate and House of Representatives. The rumor also includes a suggestion that he will, or has met with President Obama.
The Nation’s present crisis could have been avoided if France, Canada and the United States had stepped in a year ago.
