Application for U.S. immigrant visa, electronic transition

Haiti - NOTICE : Application for U.S. immigrant visa, electronic transition

The Public Affairs Office of the Embassy of the United States in Haiti informs : “Effective September 1, 2013 the paper-based immigrant visa (IV) application will transition to an electronic application. The DS-260 and the DS-261 will replace the DS-230 and the DS-3032 respectively.

Preceding the IV interview at the U.S. Embassy :
Applicants submitting new cases on or after September 1 will need to complete the DS-260/261 instead of the DS-230/3032. If an applicant submits a DS-230, the National Visa Center (NVC) in the United States will instruct him or her to re-submit a DS-260.

At the U.S. Embassy :

Those filing petitions locally overseas (with either USCIS or a consular section) on or after September 1 must submit a DS-260.

For cases filed overseas before September 1, we will accept the paper based DS-230.

You must have :

Your NVC Case Number (refer to the message you received from NVC), Your Invoice I.D. number (refer to the message you received from NVC) or your date of birth (YYYYMMDD)
