The ultra-expensive – Lavalas – Dominican – business sponsored effort , to put big demonstrations on the streets, has fizzled for the moment. Few could become enthused about protesting a BUDGET that no one has read, or understands. Especially, when the Senate effectively gave landslide approval for the very BUDGET they are supposed to  be protesting against.

Too academic.

No real appeal to the Base who are only focused upon survival – food – work – school for the kids… perhaps some medical help.

Why would anyone sincerely demonstrate in support of THE 3 POTENTATES, or other monopoly holders who are responsible for the accelerating cost of living? The Mob should be marching on the residences of those who are responsible for our situation.

A lot of money was paid to those who were supposed to march against Jovenel. Many took the money and stayed home. The few who marched lacked focus. Scattered throughout the marches were those specially recruited people who were paid to burn vehicles, attack marchand, damage commercial properties,attack people, burn tires.

The small band of real agitators is well-known and hired by varying focus groups, often diametrically opposed in philosophy – to burn and destroy.

No Social Conscience here!

Like a waterwheel when the water is removed, the momentum slowed – and died.

There are those who move to capitalize on the instability created throughout our community. Armed robberies and home invasions are becoming commonplace. Kidnapping is also spreading again.

Last night – on Pelerin 9 – there was an attempted kidnapping.

Jovenel must move to strengthen his tenuous grip on power. If he fails, we will slide into the abyss.
