Haiti Libre: Antonal Mortimé, Executive Secretary of the Platform of Haitian Human Rights Organizations (POHDH), considers that this house arrest is an important guarantee for the continuation of the judicial investigation opened against the former President.

For his part, Me Reynold Georges, one of the lawyers of Jean Claude Duvalier indicated that he seized the Court of Appeal, this March 25, in order to quash the “house arrest” issued by the magistrate in charge of the file Duvalier “The ban issued against my client has no legitimacy, because the latter has nothing to do with justice [no prosecution] this is an attempt at intimidation” he declared.
