WAS AMBASSADOR MULREAN’S SUDDEN ABANDONMENT OF HAITI DUE TO HIS EXPECTING PARLIAMENT’S REFUSAL TO ACCEPT JOVENEL MOISE’S PM NOMINATION?

We have been talking with a number of Haitian Deputies  (5) who say the majority in the Chamber of Deputies will refuse acceptance of President Moise’s nomination for Prime Minister, Dr. Jacky Lafontant.  One of these guys said he had a dozen who he controlled, but they needed money.

These representatives of the People suggest they will continue to block the appointment of a Prime Minister, and government, for some months.  This will effectively paralyze any effort to correct the criminal actions of Privert’s pirate administration.

Privert effectively destroyed much of the existing infrastructure and many of his Director Generals remain in place…. In control.

ONA, a key Haitian financial institution, continues to be pillaged by members of the Aristide/Privert team.

Ambassador Mulrean, and the State Department, must accept much of the blame for where Haiti is, at the moment.

Many blame Ambassador Mulrean for being weak on the illegal, unconstitutional Privert government.  They believe he could have used the American government’s weight to force the issue, especially when there was a movement to name Judge Roc as Interim President under Article 149 of the 1987 Constitution. Things were moving positively, towards this resolution, which would have led to an election within 90 days.

Parliament demanded $3,500,000 to vote for their acceptance of the Judge.

Such is Haitian Democracy, a Mafia in which Deputies and Senators insist on payments/bribes  before doing their work.

Mulrean knew who were guilty and could have moved to neutralize their threat. Even a simple cancellation of visas would have a sobering effect on these guys who have an income – before bribes – of almost $500,000 when all the little benefits are added together.

President Jovenel Moise needs all of the help he can get,  if he is to reverse Haiti’s slide into the abys.

This is not a time to be divisive.

The President has chosen Dr. Lafontant who could deal effectively with a major challenge to our survival – the imploding health system. His Rotary Club connections give him access to a huge network of major businesspeople around the world.

As PM he could launch a personal appeal, that could well see us inundated with massive assistance to salvage our near non-existent health sector.  This, coupled with the fact Moise is an Agronome can deal with three major problems, Health, Agriculture and the Ecology.

Those who act against the best interest of Haiti should be dealt with in a firm and irrevocable manner.

If visas are revoked, the revocation should be permanent. There is no real threat in cancelling a visa, only to reactivate it a couple of weeks later.

Perhaps stronger action- on America’s part – should be considered against some of those who would destroy the Nation, creating a greater dependence upon the American Treasury.

  1. Definitely, haiti need urgently To révise – modify- deeply thaïs constitution And respecting The séparation beetween The 3 powers :exécutive , justice ,législative – they havé To Be really indépendants . And each havé To exercise their rôle pleinement .it s obligatory To havé an équilibre at The Level Of those three powers. The government have To convoqué THE haitian people at à référendum To révise this constitution . It One of The priority things that The Moise gouvernement has To do if hé WAnt really do something for The haitian people And haiti .- And fot to govern this country this country now he is obliged To put en ” veilleuse” cette constitution . Si non il lui sera impossible de gouverner correctement lui ou tout autre président apres lui . Le jeu force à couper . Haiti et le peuple Haitien avant tout . C est ca la priorité des priorités .
