All of these actions are an attempt to destabilize the Martelly government, aimed at a vote-of-non-confidence in January. Aristide plans to collapse the government and replace it with one of his own choice.

Martelly is working hard to satisfy promises made earlier, but these take time, something he did not think of when he made them.

He must act by December 31 or he is in more trouble than he already faces. If he makes a real effort, and the people see this, he can regain some of the popularity he has lost.

  1. The real danger is to Prime Minister Lamothe. This is who a vote of no-confidence will really impact. If he is unable to control the situation, expect his replacement in the new year. A cast of unsavory, but well organized characters are all working on separate agendas, all with the ultimate goal of destablizing the MM/LL government. Aristide does’t want to rid us of Martelly, he wants to rid us of Lamothe in order to take the reigns of government, most likely through a surrogate/proxy. Wait and see.

  2. Aristide is on the move, he plays his game through others. We have Inite, Lavalas and more together today for Martelly failures.
