PORT-AU-PRINCE, HT – The lawyer of businessman Stanley Handal, presented as one of the leaders of the association of thieves headed by Clifford Brandt, denies reports stated that there is a link between the two men. Mr. Frizto Canton said that Brandt and Handal have no relationship as oppsed to what’s been said in the press these days.
“They are neither friends nor partners, and my client, Stanley Handal, is ready to fight to death to repair damages to his honour, said the lawyer, believing that the dignity of his client has been unfairly soiled”. Frizto Canton also denounced what he called the dishonest behavior of RNDDH (National Network of Defense of Human Rights) for describing Mr. Handal is a member of Clifford Brandt’s gang.
“These are dishonest petitions”, said the lawyer, noting that organization for the Defense of Human Rights had to deepen its research to realize that there is no link between both men.

The police had carried out an operaion on August 23, 2005 which led to the arrest of Stanley Handal and 3 defendants as part of an open investigation on the disappearance of an employee of UNIBANK, Nathael Aleus Geneus.
