  1. Everyone wants democracy, but no one wants to adhere to the rules of democracy. Parliament exists for a reason. If you don’t like the ruling part in government, it is part of a new democracy which everyone shoves down our throats. Obama fights everyday with opposition within and outside his party. Sometimes hos agenda succeeds and sometimes it fails. Haitians must understand that change is painful. No one knows how to work together here. It’s always about self-interest. No one is perfect, everyone casrries his baggage. The only thing we should be concerned about is choosing someone with less baggage who can get the people off the street and into decent homes. People are dying from cholera while everyone is fighting. This is Haiti, not the US, Canbada or France. They have their own agenda. Let it move forward with the good people who want to help the country. These are real people you are dealing with. We need a few good women to take over!
May God have mercy on Haiti and its people.

  2. THRE WILL BE NO MORE VIOLENCE IN HAITI.THINGS WILL NO LONGER BE AS OUR TRADITIONAL BANAL WAY OF DEALING A MATTER.
HAITI IS IN FRONT OF TRAITORS OF THE NATION.YES WE AGREE THAT THEY HAVE REJECTED A MAN WHO PAYS NO TAXES OR WHO HAVE NOT DEFENDED THE CAUSE OF HAITI AND APPENTLY, HAVE A DOUBLE NATIONALITY.HOWEVER,WE KNOW THAT THE REAL REASON OF INITE IS THAT THEY NEVER GOT WHAT THEY ASKED FOR, WHISH IS, NOTHING ELSE THAN A SHARE OF THE POWER. HAITI PA POU VAN

  3. Parliament is within its right and has taken the rightful position the Martely group seams devoid of strategic thinking abilities.

  4. We are living the painful reality of a parliamentarian democracy. Martelly has no foundation or support in the Haitian congress. Even his own 3 congressmen from RP took side with GPR. He would have to negotiate with congress for a new prime minister. There are no 2 ways about it. In the mean time Martelly would have to run an Interim emergency government and name by executive orders Interim ministers to run the government a la Belgium. He would have to run by executive orders. He would report to the congress in one year as prescribe by the Haitian constitution. He cannot run an emergency government with caretaker ministers from the previous government. They have a different vision and no dogs in that fight. Finally, he would have to consult with his base and the Haitian people for their approval of his programs as he goes along, like a “pseudo direct democracy” while he is negotiating a new prime minister with the congress. This negotiations may take a year. These are my thoughts for the sake of the Haitian people and the advancement of Haiti and its naissant democracy. We will do fine but it will take time. That’s a process like we like to in the US. It could have been worse. We do not have a bloody civil war.
