It is really an embarrassment, for the Nation, to have the world watch this farce.
Privert is proving his megalomania – apparent for some time before his theft of the Interim Presidency – via cash contributions, from a major businessman, after the first round of voting. He filled the palace with Lavalas fanatics (not loyalists – there is a difference) who basically destroyed the Palace after stealing everything that could be carried away.
His choice of Prime Minister is an amazing piece of boldness!
Immediately after his installation, the new Prime Minister, with a heavily armed escort – lots of machine-guns, went to the El Rancho where some 42 Deputies were meeting. Prime Minister ? Fritz Jean physically attacked them, indicating that his relationship with Parliament is not going to be a wonderful thing to behold.
And, Privert has named Anne Cloe Jean, 17 year old daughter of Senateur Jacques Sauveur Jean, Vice Consul in the New York Consulate. Has she even completed high school? Doesn’t matter, a lot of elected representatives cannot read or write – not a requirement for government.

We understand where Jacques Sauveur Jean loyalty is, but the reported appointment came from Privert’s office. I assumed the appointment had been made before Martelly’s departure. However, all his appointments, or many of them were tossed out.
Perhaps it was a “Hail Mary” on the part of Martelly.
Time will tell.
Nothing should surprise us, nor you.
One need only look at the Martelly/Lamothe association and where it is now.
As Governor of our Central Bank this jerk sold our gold reserves for something like $250 per oz, costing the economy hundreds of millions of dollars. Toay’s gold price is $1,222 per oz.
Then he became involved in the scandalous $30,000,000 Museum for Haitian money.

If this Cloe at 17 is a Vice Consul in our most importaant offices, this is questionable, no matter who her father may be in bed with.
She could not even take a guest out for dinner, on our behalf, and order a bottle of wine.
