Attacks on the PNH leave the police authority with a siege mentality. Officers are killed without warning. Security will continue to break down, with drive-by shootings and motorcycle attacks on the increase.
We will see an effort by the Dominican Republic to destabilize the situation. The DR is upset with the Martelly government’s border closure.
CEP member Nehemy Joseph should be arrested. He cannot simply resign without explanation, especially after the community suspects he has benefited financially from his collusion. Some suggest he has received in excess of $1,000,000. At the very least, he should be barred from leaving Haiti.
