The simple fact is this.

There is no gasoline available at gasoline stations.

The question is: Is there a lot of gasoline, sitting in the nation’s storage facilities, withheld for some reason?

Haiti faced a similar, yet different situation, during the 1991-1994 Embargo when the Shell tanks stored all of the Nation’s fuel. The International Community was pressuring Shell to freeze fuel distribution. This situation was broken when General Cedras was advised, via Shell London, to get a Court Order, serve the Shell Manager, and arrest him if the fuel was not released.

Haiti’s situation now is different and the politics complicated as some businessmen want to dump Martelly, while others support the President. And, it must also be remembered that Martelly’s father once headed Shell in Haiti and the President still owns Shell stations, such at the one near “Circulation.” And now there are more storage facilities, controlled by others.

The petroleum group has empirical records of gasoline consumption and must know, within days, of when the fuel supply will run out……… and have a tanker en route.

Is a tanker headed for Haiti, and when will it arrive.

With school opening facing us, this situation creates a dangerous and volatile situation that must be clarified – IMMEDIATELY!!

GASOLINE/DIESEL SUPPLY IS A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY!! THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD INSPECT THE STORAGE TANKS TO REASSURE THE 9,000,000 WHO DEPEND UPON THE FUEL SUPPLY TO SURVIVE.
