NEW EPIDEMIC HITS COMMUNITIES OUTSIDE OF KENSCOFF. REPORTS SAY THAT PEOPLE HAVE HIGH TEMPERATURES, STOMACH CRAMPS AND THEN VOMIT RED, BROWN AND FINALLY GREEN MUCUS. NO DIARRHEA. KILLS PEOPLE VERY FAST. THE SPECIFIC AREA WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IS A 3 HOUR WALK FROM KENSCOFF – SINCE THERE ARE NO ROADS, THEY HAVE ASKED FOR HELP – BUT NOT FORTHCOMING. THIS SCENARIO WITH CHOLERA…AND THIS POSSIBLY NEW THREAT…WILL KILL MORE THAN THE QUAKE IF WE DON’T GET SOME MEANINGFUL ASSISTANCE. THE UN PROMISING TO STUDY THE THREAT – IN MARCH – IS NOT USEFUL.

It is very important to identify what kind of disease it is, what might have been the cause of it to determine what types of treatments will be necessary in order to contain it and prevent its spread in other areas as soon as possible.
Hopefully, they get to the bottom of it pretty quick.

Cela permettra a la communaute international de se presenter avec beaucoup d’aides etrangeres. Il va falloir empecher la propagation de cette epidemie sous peu pour proteger la nation haitienne de ce nouveau malheur.

I think that this is another systematic plot to totally crush and destroy my brothers & sisters in Ayiti. We, Africans of the diaspora, must stand up in support of our family in Ayiti. Ayiti must not be destroyed or colonized by western powers!!!!!
The International Community is very slow in their handling of our cholera epidemic.
This new thing might be worse than the cholera.

As a result of our pressure a number of organizations are now on the case. We hope to have information on exactly what has infected this area with 9 immediate deaths when we were contacted.

Why do we continually blame some sort of foreign plot for anything negative that happens because our own lazy stupidity. For generations past and present we have done nothing to improve sanitation conditions in Haiti. We were a bomb looking for someone to light the matches.
Now, we sit paralyzed waiting for the Blan to save our behinds again and then complain about how they do this.
Get a life and help ourselves get out of this new mess.
