MARTELLY PRESIDENCY IN DEADLY DANGER

May 11, 2011

The recent maneuvers regarding Constitutional amendments has left Michel Martelly in deadly danger, once he takes power.  If he happens to die within the first four years of his term, his replacement will be decided by the Chamber of Deputies, and Senate. For those who understand the Haitian situation, this could be a death sentence.

And they could pick Preval, Aristide or senator Lambert.

Martelly is shot and his replacement is effectively picked by Preval’s INITE team.

Then, at the end of four years, they will pass an amendment allowing back-to-back presidencies.

Doesn’t sound like a game that wants the president to be in public too often.

Preval has planted many landmines for the incoming president.

I believe Martelly  could challenge this situation with Article 31 of the 1987 Constitution. He could revert to one of the earlier documents.

  1. Before national elections, this was the way in which our presidents were chosen. No such thing as a public vote. Another step backwards via Preval’s stolen Chamber and Sentate

  2. Preval will never ever ever again become not even a shoe shiner in Haiti how much less politician. A s a matter of of fact he will go to jail
