Unfortunately, there may be other motives behind this resignation.

One must remember that the lady was a fierce supporter of Mirlande Manigat and made some aggressively critical statements about Michel Martelly’s intelligence, abilities and moral character as she aggressively campaigned for her friend Mirlande.

When Martelly won the election he turned to Marie Carmelle Jean Marie, saying he recognized the fact she didn’t like him, but he needed her help.

She accepted the challenge and has given good service to the Nation.

But now, some of her associates are trying to weaken the Martelly government, in a typically Haitian effort to collapse whatever exists.

Even as Jean-Bertrand Aristide maneuvers to destabilize the Martelly/Lamothe team we see the shadow of Andy Apaid, and Group 184, spreading….subtly.

Jesus Christ would not stand a chance, in Haiti.

This is no time for partisan politics!

It is a time when all sectors of the Nation must pull together in an all-out effort to make the Martelly/Lamothe government the best we have had.

Preval survived by doing nothing. Such an approach left him immune for criticism regarding errors, but the Nation suffered.

The Martelly/Lamothe team is trying to accomplish things. Perhaps they can be accused of trying to do too much with too little,  but there is a definite effort to better our situation.

There is absolutely  no point in facing another time of uncertainty by plunging into more transition, band aid type government solutions, that really have no legitimacy in Constitutional Law.

We must work together to MAKE the Martelly/Lamothe government survive.

If we fail the very survival of the Nation is in doubt.
