Macy’s Shows “Heart of Haiti”

Macy’s is now selling Haitian art as part of a new program to aid in the financial support of the country.

Through store’s “Heart of Haiti” program, customers may purchase original paintings, sculptures, jewelry and more each designed by part of an array of 200 Haitian artists.

Haitian artists will receive 35% of anything that Macy’s sells and also have a new form of access to the global marketplace.

To browse and shop the Haitian art, visit Macy’s page. Most of the art is priced under $50.

Macy’s hopes that the program will help to bring more stability to the country as it struggles to bounce back from the devastation caused by the earthquake that shook the country nine months ago.
