The kidnapped girl was an American citizen.
Within a few hours the kidnappers were arrested at a Rue Capois address.
Kidnap an American and you are instantly in trouble.
The embassy has telephone tracking capabilities that are frightening!!
Without the use of a phone, how does one collect the ransom??
The kidnapping was obviously not an unplanned event. The victim had to be transported from Petionville into the center of Port-au-Prince. Perhaps the victim’s relationship to a member of the Lamothe governments cabinet was a factor.
Expect the Aristide team to increase pressures through propaganda and violent incidents.
