IS SOMEONE CLEANING HOUSE BEFORE MARTELLY TAKES OFFICE?

May 11. 2011

Over 15 police officers have been killed this year.

Several senior police officers have been assassinated over the past days, leading some observers to suggest a house-cleaning before Michel Martelly takes office on May 14.

First of all, Inspector Costume was  killed in a “Car accident” that turned out to be a murder when his only injury was a bullet wound in his neck. Costume was involved with investigating the abuse of women and children. He had ongoing contacts with a number of official organizations, including UNICEF.

Then  Inspector Lambert Rosemont, deputy chief of the Haitian Marines  was assassinated in a carefully planned hit, last week. Communications intercepts recorded a conversation between his killers in which one of them said…”He will be at the intersection in 45 seconds..”  The prediction was dead on and he was shot.

And then there is the case of the CEP member who died with his passport in his hand. Friends said that he was flying to the States to speak with American representatives regarding the election fraud.

He died of poison, or a heart failure, depending upon which line of reasoning you follow. I suppose that poison ends with a heart failure, but that analysis is left to the medical authorities who, in the case of Jean Dominique, managed to lose the body of one of the assassins when he died in hospital.

Anything is possible in Haiti

  1. Then there was the guys in police custody, in the Lambert cocaine scandal, who died, suicides, drinking battery acid with their hands tied behind their backs

  2. Yes, that was the scandal that saw everyone in power tainted.
Justice Minister took $500,000 to suppress everything otherwise entire governement and many police would be in jail.
