The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, welcomed the installation of 300 conventional streetlights by E-Power electric company in Cité Soleil, in support to the National government program of public lighting and electrification, implemented by the Office of René Jean-Jumeau, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, Responsible for Energy Security, through which 7,470 street lights have been installed so far across the country.
The Prime Minister, who sees in this initiative a significant signal of public/private partnership, sent on behalf of the Government, his warm congratulations and appreciation to the Board of Directors of the E-Power company and reiterated the Government’s commitment “to continue its policy of energy security and to undertake a general reform of the sector, in close coordination with local and international partners, to the benefit of the population.”
