It will be a year, in April, since Depute Rodriguez Sejour’s chauffeur became involved in an altercation with another person. When the police officer – Walky Calixte agent II – arrived, it was obvious to him that Sejour’s chauffeur was the aggressor. The chauffeur was arrested.
This should be the end of the story, however, Minister of Justice Brunache intervened, illegally, insisting the PNH release the Depute’s chauffeur.
The chauffeur was released and shortly, thereafter, PNH officer Walky Calixte was murdered.
And, by the way, the chauffeur was Depute Rodriguez Sejour’s cousin.
And now there is an effort to lift Deputy Sejour’s immunity so that he can be prosecuted for his part in the murder of a police officer.
This, it itself, should be a straightforward process. However, we are in Haiti where violence is just a few dollars away.
Yesterday, at locations along Delmas 24 and Delmas 75, Sejour and Arnel Belizaire held meetings with terrorist groups in a plan to destabilize the situation, because of the community’s desire to see Sejour face justice.
As a result, we have members of Group 117, from Belair, and the Delmas 2 gangs at war with each other in Lasaline.
They have turned the place into a war zone.
Even then there should be something King Martelly could do to support his original promise of Security, and a Free Education for All. Forget the school promise and look to security.
Unfortunately, even as the bidonville erupted to the sounds of machine guns. King Martelly arrived back in Haiti – from another foreign visit – and went straight to the beach.
Heaven help us.

Your image says it all.
The small boy expresses the attitude of our elected persons.
Is that a young Martelly picture?
