Haiti Delays Final List Of Presidential Candidates-Added COMMENTARY By Haitian-Truth

PORT-AU-PRINCE (AFP)–Haiti’s electoral board has decided to push back until Aug. 20 its release of the final list of presidential candidates, a statement released Tuesday said.

“Due to questions posed regarding some candidates…the electoral board has decided to delay until August 20 the release of its final list of presidential candidates,” the board said in a statement.

The council had pledged to release the list by Tuesday ahead of the Nov. 28 elections for a successor to President Rene Preval, as Haiti struggles to recover from a devastating Jan. 12 earthquake.

Several of the 34 candidates including hip-hop star Wyclef Jean have had their presidential eligibility requirements questioned at the electoral body.

A MAN WHO WOULD BE KING

All of a sudden, Wyclef sees himself as God’s appointed savior for Haiti and to Hell with legal requirements!  Everyone else has to have 5 years residency – immediately before filing papers – but he comes up with a load of Mickey Mouse excuses as to why the law should not, does not apply to him.

His people (perhaps Wyclef himself) have threatened to BURN PORT AU PRINCE TO THE GROUND if Wyclef’s candidacy is turned down…even though the rejection is based upon Constitutional requirements.

The Electoral Commission (CEP) is frightened by what might happen, should they act responsibly – so they have delayed release of their decision.

In the meantime, the police are looking for Wyclef’s right hand man, King Kino, to arrest him.

Wyclef has effectively destroyed himself.

He should walk away before he plays a part in the further destruction of Haiti.

Your charity YELE HAITI has disowned you…and it has really done nothing, although the smoke and mirrors would lead people to believe otherwise.

WYCLEF – GO HOME….TO NEW YORK!!!
