In less than 25 hours, Barack Obama, the first black to be elected to the Presidency in the US will leave office.

Here are A few considerations I received from a good friend …. They deserved to be published.

Despite the 2010 earthquake, the first black to serve in the Oval Office, did not privileged Haiti in its eight-year term as President of the US. He visited the most distant countries of the world, while Haiti is less than an hour flight from Florida.

Mr. Obama did not care, even after seeing President Sarkozy, of France, fly across the Atlantic to visit Haiti on 17 February 2010. Obama preferred to delegate Bill Clinton and give him all the powers to decide on the future of Haiti.

The President of the United States will leave the White House in less than 48 hours, without visiting the first independent black nation of the world.

With all sincerity, we must say, that Mr. Trump is the only one of the two candidates to remember Haiti during the electoral campaign. Mr Trump did not hesitate a single second, to mention that Haiti was largely a victim of economic conspiracy.

During several campaign activities, Mr. Trump has largely indexed Clinton on mismanagement of humanitarian aid to Haiti after the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. He had carefully read the sequence of the book, “The Clinton cash ” written by Peter Schweizer, and listen to former Haitian Senator Bernard Sansaricq denouncing the” corruption “of the presidential couple in Haiti.

History will retained that Haiti, thanks to President Elect Donald Trump, was the most distinguished in the American presidential debate of 2016, after Russia of Vladimir Putin.

We wish that before he abandoned the White House, which was largely built by slaves, that someone remind to President Obama that without the birth of the Haitian nation and the contribution of Haitians at the Battle of Savannah, he would have never be elected to the US presidency.

Someone should also remind him that a monument was erected in 2007 to revere the courage and contribution of Haitian volunteers of Santo Domingo, who fought the English in 1779 alongside American independence with the support of young Henri Christophe, who was at the time just 16 years old.

Obama has been to Africa several times, but he forgot that Haiti is the cradle of freedom and emancipation of the black man. To my Haitian brothers, be brave. This is not the first time, the country of Dessalines was forgotten, I will only mention the great Panama Congress in 1826 under the leadership of Simon Bolivar, whom Alexandre Petion had offered so much help to free several countries in Latin America, yet Haiti was excluded from the Panama Congress in 1826 because of the United States.

Haitian multidimensional poverty increased under the rule of the two administrations, Democratic and Republican Clinton & Bush 43.

We sincerely hope that President Elect Trump will be the CHAMPION of Haiti, as he promised last September 16th, 2016 in Little Haiti. The swamp has to be drained in Haiti also, we need President Trump to help us.

Obama had a good chance to interface with Haiti since an old friends, and political advisor,  Patrick Gaspard, was Haitian. His friend had played a big part in the election of Dinkins, a Mayor of New York.
