FRENCH AMBASSADOR ELISABETH BETON DELEGUE JOINS ONGOING SERIES OF VISITS TO “HERO OF LA SCERIE” PRIVERT – DEMANDING ELECTIONS APRIL 24.

Mars 3, 2016

French Ambassador Elisabeth Beton Delegue spent a few, blunt and direct, minutes with Interim President Privert, to impress upon him the basic  fact that La France expects him to honor his commitment, to the Haitian people, and the world community:

ELECTIONS APRIL, 24.

Like a recalcitrant child, Privert is doing everything possible to delay swallowing the bitter medicine that will see him returned to the ranks of common citizens.
Privert has disrupted the life of Haians, by dumping the functioning Cabinet, replacing it with a new one. This effectively froze the financial sector of government as Privert froze all financial  transactions.

Paychecks will not be forthcoming.

Bills will not be paid.

And Privert has selected a new Prime Minister that may never be accepted bt the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. Fritz Jean was selected without the approval of Parliament, making him unconstitutional.

Privert has now double-crossed Aristide, throwing his cards in with Preval. The Privert team sees Max Bellerive who sucked funds from Petrocaraibe and earthquake revival funding, with a firehose.

The solution should be simple.

The required run-off between Jude Celestin and Jovenel Moise.

We are not optimistic.

Privert now says Jovenel was number 5 and he maneauvers to eliminate the leader and force a new general election in which Preval’s man, Jackie Lumarque, will be expected to win via a ned “Fixed CEP” and the will of the people will – yet again – be thwarted.

Jovenel Moise – NEG BANNAN – remains the most popular candidate in Haiti.

In any election against the legitimate number 2 – Jude Celestin – Jovenel will win by at least a 3 to 1 majority – perhaps more.

Jocelerme Privert, said the new Electoral Council is responsible for determining whether the second round, which was postponed, may take place before the deadline in April, if this date is viable “The Electoral Council will establish a schedule and a budget. Then only there, we will know if we need additional time or not.”

Names of last representatives to the CEP
Latecomers sectors have finally submitted the name or the names of their representatives for the next Provisional Electoral Council: Marie Frantz Joachim, General Coordinator of Solidarity Fanm Ayisyen (SOFA), representing the women’s sector; the sector Vodou / peasant proposes Jean Richard Joseph or Lamercie Charles Pierre; Kettly Julien was chosen to represent Human Rights and Lucien Jean Bernard for the University sector sector.

Privert confirms it will respect the agreement
Concerning elections, Gustavo Gallón, the Independent Expert of the Council of the United Nations Human Rights said Tuesday that President a.i. Jocelerme Privert confirmed him “[…] that he will respect the agreement signed on February 6, according to which the provisional government will have for bjective to finalize this process. He will therefore ensure the formation of a Provisional Electoral Council in order to establish how should complete the presidential election.

I spoke with five presidential candidates and they are divided between those opposed to a verification of the first round of presidential elections and those who hope it is done properly in order to count this time with a result that would guarantee the legitimacy of the choice of a new president.

This is a very difficult situation to manage for which I appreciate the willingness shown by the Provisional President to find a just and effective solution in accordance with agreements made and the very short deadlines for completing the political transition.”
