FLASH–FLASH–FLASH March 20, 2010 PRIME MINISTER BELLERIVE BLACKMAILS INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

Prime Minister Bellerive has just made a statement to the effect that “There will be no reconstruction of Haiti until his functionaries have been paid back wages…” After he and Preval have already stolen the cash that was directed for payment of these obligations.

Read Civil Service for Functionaries.

The situation is a simple one.

President Preval and Prime Minister Bellerive have stolen all earlier funding for their own bank accounts, those of their associates, or retention in a huge fund for election costs guaranteed to see their political party UNITE win the Presidency and the Parliament.

This is like some guy who runs a Texaco service station. At the end of each day he takes all of the cash from the register, and expects Texaco to replenish it for business opening the next day.

Texaco wouldn’t accept this philosophy.

Why does the World Community bow to these obscene pressures??

Preval and Bellerive do not give a damn for Haiti’s poor majority!

There can be no realistic attempt to salvage the Nation with this pair of bandits in control.

They must step down – and face justice.

A new CEP – Electoral Council – must be created and planning for elections initiated immediately.

And RECONSTRUCTION MUST START NOW!!!

THE PEOPLE CANNOT BE HELD TO RANSOM WHILE BELLERIVE/PREVAL ATTEMPT TO BLACKMAIL THE WORLD!!

  1. WE may, and have accused the adiministration of many failures in the sense of their compromised “leadership”, before and following the 1/12/10 event.

Indeed, it is of growing concern for the Nation as a whole that the dynamics of care, the choices made in view of needed priorities, and the open accountability of the State appear to have been less than the potential, and far less than the need.

Haiti’s Governing body, Haiti’s “Congress”, must learn, and perhaps by force, that the daily affairs of State are the property of Haitians all. There is no exclusivity set forth under the Constitution.

Mr.Preval and Mr. Bellerive are terribly opaque. Mr. Clinton is astonnishingly pacific. Mr. Ban Moon seems almost naive. Perhaps the dry-cleaning of the allegedly soiled financial activities is no longer possible and may be entirely covert and incriminating.

The only measure of any form yet to be taken is to install a very competent and world-class finacial management entity to audit the past and future transactions made by all members of the elected body. If someone is a “Mr. Clean”, we would appreciate knowing.

Of course, whatever scrutiny that may be undertaken would have to also be accountable to other nations, such as the Security Council of the U.N. for the sake of credibility.

No one is really paying attention to this malais except Haitians. The trick is to entertain the idea of applied “honesty” in front of the Donor Nations on the coming March 31st Assembly at the U.N.

Peaceful, non-violent, but demonstrable actions would do well to be undertaken for the sake of achieving a system by which Haitians of power may no longer extrapolate the direction and use of the State’s Treasury without the foreknowledge and legislation of the democratic and governing body of law-makers.

There is never a solution to the filth of greed and self-interest except for that which comes from knowledge, compassion for others, maturity and self respect.
