EVANS PAUL REPORTS FROM CAP HAITIEN ON THE LACK OF ASSISTANCE FOR PEOPLE AFTER HURRICANE SANDY…WEEKS HAVE PASSED AND PEOPLE WAIT.

November 17, 2012

Evans Paul reports that little has been done to assist Haitians living in Cap Haitian after the passage of Hurricane Sandy. Bodies are still being discovered. People have found bodies in sources of drinking water and latrines have overflowed, infecting large areas.

Cholera is accelerating.

Injured people have large infected abscesses on their bodies. Broken limbs have not been treated.

The Martelly/Lamothe duo visited Cap Haitien to distribute little care packages that included, among other things a Pink Martelly bracelet, 2 pounds of rice, a small bottle of cooking oil, 1 pound of spaghetti and a tiny bit of salt. Some observers said the bag this came in was worth more than the contents.

We saw the Martelly/Lamothe team handing out small quantities of stuff in zip-lock bags.

Some suggest the program was simply justification for the release of funds so that these fund could be stolen.  The material distributed was not worth the $30.00 per bag claimed, unless the plastic Martelly bracelet had diamonds.

These situations must be dealt with.

Where is the RED CROSS and all of the $300,000,000.00 collected for the 2010 earthquake. Someone must call the RED CROSS, OXFAM and others to account for the fortunes they have collected and hidden from public view.

Don’t worry folks, your president will celebrate November 18 in Spain…yes, that is right SPAIN!!
