Pending the opening match Brazil-Croatia at 4:00 pm (Haiti time) of the 2014 World Cup, which will be attended by 8 countries that have won the legendary Trophy (Brazil, Uruguay, Germany, Spain, England, Italy, France and Argentina) let us remember there is 40 years (1974) of the match of the World Cup Haiti-Italy when Philippe Vorbe (midfielder), had almost shot in the nets of Italian goalkeeper (2:22 of the video) and of course the unforgettable historic goal of Mannon Sanon (2:50) of the video.
An encounter which unfortunately ended with the defeat of Haiti [3-1]
Note also that yesterday, Philippe Vorbe signed a book about his life as a footballer.
