July 6, 2013 Yes, Senator Steven Benoit is allegedly  the son of  the late, great  legal expert, Constantin Mayard-Paul. Just look at a shot of Gregory and Benoit to see the family resemblance. It is striking!! PATRIOTISM, CONSCIENCE and PUBLIC SERVICE   have been erased from the Mayard-Paul’s – Thierry, Gregory and Benoit’s –  vocabulary –… replaced with GREED, SELF-INTEREST, and POWER as they coordinate an assault on Prime Minister Lamothe and his government.

President Michel Martelly’s survival, along with the Nation’s 9,000,021 citizens have no place in their collective agenda.

We believe only one  of the Mayard-Pauls is interested in the Presidency and is not willing to wait for Michel Martelly’s  chair to cool off. Steven Benoit is already campaigning by maneuvers to gain attention.

It is time for the first and second team Mayard-Pauls, along with our Senate, Chamber of Deputies, business community, religious leaders, and all other sectors of the Haitian society, to coalesce and pull together for the Nation’s well-being- and really, honestly support Michel Martelly’s government, otherwise we will really be consigned to the World’s garbage dump of Failed Nations.

Of course, Martelly has some obligations, in this game. He has to control Sophia, the Mayard-Pauls and others in his entourage. Some must be consigned to the bench or taken out of the game completely, before the PNH does this for him.  He must also agree to creation of a real cabinet with real experts in the various fields… otherwise progress is impossible. The cabinet should include partisans and opposition people, their selection based upon ability, and patriotism…. Nothing else matters now!

The continued assault, by Senator Steven Benoit, on Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe is not constructive. Martelly could slip him a few $100,000 and he would shut up – for a period of time- until he had to be lubricated again.

Laurent Lamothe is not completely unpatriotic.

He is trying to reduce corruption, not eliminate it.

To do so would be un-Haitian, Un-American, Unrealistic.

Let’s all work together for our combined future, and not that of a few greedy people like the Mayard-Pauls, One, Two and Three.

Tomorrow is another day.

Let’s think Patriotism, Nation, Progress and Education for all kids.
