A truly stunning turn out as Haitians packed downtown Port-au-Prince to celebrate the Martelly/Lamothe Carnival of Flowers. Unfortunately, rain fell on Martelly’s parade, during the evening, but this did not deflect the mass of people who danced through the downpour and remained until well after midnight.

Tuesday will be the final day and crowds are expected to equal those of Monday as Haitians take to the streets in a final surge.
