This morning we received copies of  memo from “The Hero of la Scerie,” Privert, announcing   appointment of a new ONA director.

Last night several Senators, including Beauplan and Benoit,  were on the radio debating the need to immediately amend the Constitution. (In 24 days?)

Another Senator mentioned his impending trip, to Japan, in company with the new Prime Minister, Enex Jean-Charles, to discuss funding for a new road. The Senator said they would do this “on a weekend”  but a check of the map shows in is a 16,000 mile round trip which will entail almost 36 flying hours, not counting stop-overs to change flights

The President/Prime Minister busy themselves changing our Cabinet and will soon focus upon the Directors General.

The Chamber of Deputies has created a commission to investigate all of Martelly’s ministries. (Why not those of Preval and Aristide??)

We   have slightly more than 3 weeks – including weekends (set aside for trips to Japan) – in which to coordinate the one goal of the Privert Government.

Even for skilled people – this is more than a challenge.

For Privert and Enex Jean-Charles 24 hours per day will not be enough!

The Prime Minister is already hinting at a 10 day extension.

The already flawed CEP is not in place. Human Rights groups nominated 3 candidates.

In a vote the count was 18 – 10 – 0.

And Privert selected St Hubert, the guy with 0 votes because his name was suggested by Liliane Pierre-Paul’s sister.

No focus on the reality.

But the replacement team will all get pensions, for their short term service – since they will be replaced by yet another team, after the May 14th inauguration of a new President.

This game of Musical Chairs is like a Pilot and Co-Pilot of an airliner – 30 seconds from touch-down, in terrible weather, with one engine on fire – changing their seats with an inexperienced replacement crew!
