December 16 was a major embarrassment for Aristide!!
Expecting tens of thousands to march – AND DECHOUKAJ – Aristide’s $150,000 investment turned into a very expensive fizzle. With 3 starting points, fewer than 3,000 marched for the cash they had been paid, and the promise of pillage and plunder, along the routes.
Most people accepted the $20.00 USD and stayed at home.
This had happened recently when a gang-leader, in Grande Ravine, paid out a small fortune, only to have the people stay at home. Aristide didn’t accept the gang-leader’s excuses, which were true, and almost had the guy executed.
Now the truth – demonstrated by the 8% Lavalas vote in the elections – should be apparent to our criminal Aristide. He cannot chant “Coup d’Etat Electorale” and really expect anyone to believe it. The people have forgotten Aristide and wish to move on.
Aristide was last thrown out in 2004.
Someone born in 2004 is now 16 with no recollection of the man.
53% of our population is younger than 24.
These young people are more likely to have a knowledge of Duvalier – father and son – fondly recounted by parents, and grandparents.
The Duvaliers accomplished something.
Aristide accomplished nothing other than a destruction of any, and all infrastructure, leading to chaos.
People like Aristide, Celestin, Moise Jean Charles, and a host of others, critique Michel Martelly, claiming he did not win his election. Well now, Aristide’s old partner – Rene Preval – created the situation in which Michel Martelly swept the polls, after Celestin was recognized for what he was – and bounced from the election.
Celestin is a criminal of major proportions. He was involved in political assassination and the theft of a fortune in cash, and material from CNE.
Come on guys!
How many Haitians have ever stolen a complete, unused, brand new bridge and stored it away for a rainy day???
Michel Martelly may have been an aberration – created when Preval outwitted himself in his effort to block Ceant and Baker – but he won, and he won BIG against Moo Manigat!!
Martelly was our “Accidental President” who broke the chain that has tied Haiti to its past. Michel is many things, but he is a good guy who- unlike Aristide and the Aristide team – would never sanction violence against his own people, as Aristide has done over the past few days, focusing on December 16..
Jovenel Moise has now won an overwhelming mandate to lead Haiti into the future.
The challenges are overwhelming, even if everyone pulls together.
They are impossible if someone like the Aristide people (Preval – Celestin – Moise Jean-Charles and creeps like Andre Michel) – work to destroy the stability of our Nation.
We must all work to make our government a success, and Jovenel IS our government. To do otherwise simply reduces our own, personal, possibilities of survival.
Aristide is already promising more chaos, more damaged cars, more stolen property and – perhaps – attacks on the homes of wealthy people.
DO NOT LET THE GRINCH ARISTIDE STEAL OUR FUTURE, OUR CHILDRENS’ FUTURE, THE NATION’S FUTURE.
ARISTIDE MUST BE NEUTRALISED, OTHERWISE THERE IS NO HOPE.
