Benjamin R. Kraft, US citizen, has been shot and killed as he was getting into a car in front of CAFÉ 36 , Rue Clerveau, in Petion-Ville,  an upscale suburb of the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince

Shortly after 8:00 P.M. we received a message: “Many shots fired, 2 people down, one dead, one injured.”

The injured man is Johannis Johannel.  He is receiving medical care in a hospital, under police protection.

Our PNH sources say it was an obvious assassination as they collected many 9mm and .41 calibre shell casings indication 2 shooters and Kraft was armed and fought back.
