PREVAL’S 2006 GAME REPLAYED IN ATTEMPT TO GAIN THE POWER FOR VERITE?

July 9, 2015

History tends to repeat itself, in Haiti.

Is Preval trying to re-live the days, in 2006, when Rene Momplaisir put a mob in the Montana Hotel and told MINUSTAH,  “If Preval is not given the Presidency, we will burn down Port-au-Prince!”

The vote count was juggled so that a run-off was not required. Preval was given 51.2% when he should not have won at all.

Now, we have Preval sponsoring three major $1,000,000 demonstrations. The second is occurring today and will march from the airport, up Delmas to end in front of CEP headquarters in Petion-Ville.

There is already a large police presence, in front of the CEP building.

You cannot put a demonstration on the streets unless you are willing to spend “real” money. There is no such thing as a spontaneous demonstration in this society. Preval stole enough as president to make $3,000,000 pocket-change.

Jacky Lumarque, Preval’s VERITE presidential candidate has been blocked from the process.

Organizers, of the demonstrations, warn that the third will be violent, if the problem is not resolved.

With the implosion of Michel Martelly’s government, and with talks of a Transitional Authority, the Nation is vulnerable to threats of violence – and violence itself.

The first demonstration was a good one, reflecting Preval’s investment. It was peaceful.

We are awaiting reports on the second demonstration.

Will we see the third demonstration aimed at CEP acceptance of the Lumarque candidacy?

Businesses destroyed, cars burned, windows broken, market ladies produce stolen, people beaten, perhaps killed?

Next step will be the Prime Minister’s slot, if our Constitution is rewritten, removing the presidency from its content.

Preval is set upon taking the power with VERITE so he can rule from behind the scenes.

  1. There was something like 1,000 to 1,500 marchers. Not many for a million dollars.

when I was with the embassy the prices was $1.00 per demonstrator.

    Inflation!

    1. What a farce of a demonstration. If that is what a million dollars, someone should find out where the money really went
