Haitian rebel, Guy Phillipe slams quake response

Haiti’s most notorious former rebel leader has criticised the government’s response to the January 12th earthquake and has called on Rene Preval, the Haitian president, to resign.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, fugitive rebel leader Guy Philippe says the Haitian government failed to adequately deal with the aftermath of the devastating quake.

  1. Haiti, and the United States, owe Guy Phillipe a great debt of gratitude.

Had elections been held, as required by Article 149 or our Constitution, Guy would have been the overwhelming, and popular choice of Haiti’s vast, ignored, unrecognized majority.

This could not be allowed. It would be a true example of Democracy in action.

Instead, Andy Apaid, and a few others, pirated the will of the People and agreed to a Transitional Government….this being the disastrous, criminal and incompetent Latortue charade.

Of course, this was followed by the criminal action, on the part of MINUSTAH, when it decided Preval’s 23% was really 51% and declared him president.

Now the criminal Preval is maneuvering to retain power personally, or via a clone – perhaps his son in law the criminal Jude Celestin.

My people are still waiting fo Democracy.

Guy Philippe could not be as bad as what we have endured.

  2. I would proudly vote for you Guy Phillipe. Your actions, along with Jodel Chamblain, and the sacrifices that were endured by you both were not in vain, and are appreciated by many.
    Your country loves you.
