Anti Gang Activity in Dlemas

As received

Kamikaze drones rocked the city center and part of Delmas this morning. About ten drones were launched against several bandit strongholds early this morning. Gran Ravin, Village de Dieu, Fouchard, and Delmas were targeted by the strikes. A significant number of bandits lost their lives.

The most significant damage was recorded at a base in Ti Lapli and in Fouchard, where bandits preparing to head towards the residential neighborhoods of Paco and Débussy were ripped to pieces, according to a source.

Drone attacks against the Viv Ansanm bandits are, to date, the only weapon capable of halting the gangs’ advance. However, their use remains controversial due to missed shots that have allowed some gang leaders, such as Izo and Barbecue, to escape. A coordination problem within the CSPN appears to be the main obstacle to the success of the operations.

The UN yesterday denied demanding the withdrawal of kamikaze drones in the fight against gangs. Moreover, the use of these drones to stop bandits is encouraged by the executive director of the RNDDH, Pierre Espérance.

Meanwhile, several areas of the capital have been barricaded to prevent gangs from entering.
