Not even Grade B movie quality storyline.
First story, from Moscoso family, and PNH on day of kidnap. Robert Moscoso’s son and daughter travelling in Bourdon in their car, followed by Robert Moscoso, in his car.  A PNH vehicle, with red and blue light on top,  intercepts brother/sister’s car and kidnaps the pair. Moscoso arrives to find vehicle abandoned, with doors open.

Second story, related by daughter on video after release sees them intercepted and kidnapped in their own car. The kidnappers’ associates departed, in a different direction in their car.  In other words, there was no car “with its doors open and abandoned” for Moscoso to discover.

Third story sees a Landcruiser involved. However, when asked for details, Delva was vague and not very helpful.

The thing is bad Hollywood and seems to have been staged.
Surrounding the house. Kicking in doors with a lot of noise. Finding the Moscoso son and daughter lying there looking like they had just arrived…not having spent a week in captivity. Their reactions were not those of someone just freed. They ran down the stairs as though they had not been confined for 6 or 7 days, blindfolded, shackled.
Try lying in bed for 6 days sometime, and then get up and see whether you can move easily.

When the police find them they do not react like someone who has heard all of the noise downstairs.
There was no sign of any food or water with them.
There was no one in the house with them. Hardly the actions of kidnappers with a $2.5 million prize.
Brandt looked more like a victim than the Moscoso team.
When Brandt was originally arrested he told of a big network with involvement of 19 or 20 bank branches, 260 police and some other members of the elite. Now all of this has been forgotten…as “rumors” even though his comments fitted in with actual facts from earlier cases in which banks were heavily involved. SOGEBANK and UNIBANK staff have   been seen as complicit in crimes.

And, of course, there is very bad blood between the Brandt and Moscoso families.
This game is not over and we may be barking up the wrong tree.
Some cynics have even believed the far-fetched notion that Moscoso was involved in an effort to bleed money from SOGEBANK with the assistance of Brandt and Brandt’s other elite/PNH associates who are now just rumors.

In Haiti, rumors are almost impossible to separate from fact.
Brandt appeared in court today. He fainted and they left him lying there for 15 minutes without assistance. He was then transferred to the Correfour jail… however, as of 9 PM the PNH at Correfour say they have no record of him.

There are no innocents in this ever-changing, self-serving game. Many of the guilty have probably paid to be forgotten and the kidnapping will continue, unabated.
