During Aristide’s last bloody move towards dictatorial power, during the 2000- 2004 chaos, he didn’t trust Haitian enough to have them provide his real security detail. Instead, he paid something like $12,000,000 per year for a special WHITE ex-special forces team of 60 to guard him at all times.
He hired a white hit team to protect him from the Haitian population that was supposed to love him!!!
These guys were scary, not French or Creole-speaking Americans who would jump out of their cars, in advance of Aristide, waving machine guns and shouting “Get out of the way or we will shoot. This is Aristide!!!”
And they did shoot!!
These guys were from The Steele Foundation, based in San Francisco, California, made up of ex- US Special Forces mercenaries and had been on contract to the Aristide since 1998.
On one famous occasion, an American registered helicopter, flown by an American citizen, threw three members of a group opposing Aristide from the chopper at 2000 feet over Beladere. This was a special message to possible opponents. Let us remember the names involved: Convergence Democratique members Manno Amboise, Hubert Augustin and Tidio Augustin. The helicopter was flown by Frantz Gabriel or an American by the name of Lusk, There is no Statute of Limitations on murder, in the USA, so someone can still be charged.
Aristide was personally required to authorize each flight and did so, on all occasions, including the missions that became known as the La Scerie Massacre in which women and children were machine-gunned from the choppers.
In March 2000 Aristide sacrificed a newborn baby boy, kidnapped from the General Hospital, to guarantee electoral success.
This was the election when he ordered his police to fire on voters at polling stations: He wanted 4500 deaths!!
This was the election that saw CEP Chairman Manus forced to hide from an Aristide hit squad, when he wouldn’t falsify election results. He was eventually flown out of Haiti and died in exile a year ago.
When hundreds of thousands took to the streets – 2004 -in increasingly large demonstrations, demanding his departure from the presidency, Aristide sought additional members of the Steele Foundation to kill his fellow Haitians.
The American State Department blocked this.
Since his resignation, and departure to the Central African Republic, Aristide has claimed a “Geopolitical Kidnapping” by white Special Forces guys sent by President Bush.
Well now, the white guys involved were Aristide’s own Steele Foundation security team that accompanied him on his flight out of Haiti. They were bought and paid for with funds that would have served a better purpose buying rice and beans for Haiti’s hungry kids.
Is this the person you want to regain power in Haiti, via a series of surrogates?
The reason Aristide returned to Haiti??
When Mbeki lost the Presidency to Zuma, in South Africa, Jean-Bertrand Aristide was no longer welcome. His presence had been funded by the US Treasury at a cost of $2,500,000 per month. It didn’t cost South Africa a penny, but Zuma wanted to be rid of the Haitian troublemaker who continually caused embarrassment for his government.
And so Aristide flew back to Haiti and was met by a couple of hundred people, at our airport, not the tens of thousands claimed by his tame, paid, media reporters, even though there were weeks available for pre-planning his arrival.
Just for comparison’s sake, we must look at Jean Claude Duvalier’s unplanned, unannounced arrival that saw several thousand people spontaneously congregate, at the airport, to greet the President.
There is another of those Haitian messages here, I would suppose.
Jean-Bertrand Aristide should face justice for his many crimes but some believe Sophia Martelly has made a financial arrangement with him.
The American government owe Haiti a favor. They must unseal the indictments, presently filed with the Federal Court, in Miami, and extradite Aristide to the United States for trial on massive cocaine smuggling charges. They have enough sworn evidence from his partners and can tie him to the murder of the father of a TELECO officer who testified against him recently.
Enough is enough!! Aristide must be neutralized, permanently!!
